DIY wedding flower day

With costs mounting up more and more couples are opting to DIY their wedding flowers. This course is aimed at those who have little to no floristry knowledge and would like to learn some basics to feel more confident putting together flowers for their big day.

We will start at basics, with the conditioning and prepping of flowers bought from a local flower farm and during the day we will cover three popular arrangements for weddings - Posy style bouquets with ribbons, buttonholes and corsages and small bowl centrepiece arrangements.

Each participant will be allocated a bucket of seasonal mixed flowers and foliage from a local flower farm to work with ensuring that they get a good mix of blooms, colours and textures to play with. Through out the day we will also talk about how you can introduce imported flowers bought from high street florists to customise your look for the day.

All flowers, equipment and materials will be provided and you will be able to take anything you make home.

We will also provide refreshments throughout the day and a mezze style lunch .

The course is limited to just 5 participants ensuring that you get a great sized workspace and plenty of one on one time with your tutor.
